So the below comments are based on my best guess. Sorry, if I go astray.<br /><br />Yes, KB exercises are normally done with less weight than conventional weightlifting. Training done with lighter weights will have a benefit but the magnitude of the benefit is lower in measures of power and strength.<br /><br />If your objective is the kind of thing that swings are good for (whether DB or KB), then those exercises will work better. Swing protocols tend to be very good metabolic conditioning of the high intensity interval sort.
